Harald Bode, born in 1909 in Hamburg, Germany, was a pioneer of electronic musical instruments, ideas, and composition. An anthology of his archival recordings and explorations is being produced in collaboration with the Alfred University School of Art and Design Institute for Electronic Arts.The CD compilation seeks to reestablish the sounds and ideas of Harald Bode into a contemporary sound art context. The project includes contributions from Peer Bode, Andrew Deustch, James Fei, Tom Rhea, Scanner, and Stephen Vitiello.
The design represents Harald Bode's personality, his working process, as well as the inventive nature of his musical compositions.
